Pet Container Requirements
Some of the common guidelines for per container requirements are:
" The container must be large enough for the pet to stand up, turn around and lie down in a natural manner. Hence, correct size is important.
" The container must be strong enough to protect the pet during transport, secure enough to contain it and have sufficient ventilation on all four sides to ensure the air quality in the container does not deteriorate.
" The door must be secured in such a manner that it does not open accidentally or pet cannot
open it during handling and transport.
" The floor must be provided by a leak proof dropping tray and filled with absorbent materials.
" The container must have a water pot and a food container accessible from outside.
" Fiberboard or wire mesh containers are not suitable for air transportation.
" Shipper's instruction for the animal's care must have been affixed to the container.
" All of the relevant health documents must be on hand.
